Description
Crispy air fryer apple pie taquitos filled with warm cinnamon-spiced apple filling, rolled in tortillas and cooked until golden for an easy dessert with classic apple pie flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 cups apple pie filling, chopped
- 6 small flour tortillas
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces and mix with vanilla extract in a bowl.
- Warm the tortillas slightly in the microwave for about 10 seconds to make them flexible.
- Spoon about 2–3 tablespoons of the apple mixture along one edge of each tortilla.
- Roll the tortillas tightly into taquitos and place them seam-side down.
- Brush the outside of each taquito with melted butter.
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
- Lightly sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the taquitos.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the taquitos inside in a single layer.
- Air fry for 7–9 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer, let cool slightly, then serve warm.
Notes
- Serve with caramel sauce or vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
- If using fresh apples, cook them with sugar and cinnamon until soft before filling the tortillas.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even crisping.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving for a bakery-style finish.
