Description

This Bacon Cheeseburger Queso Dip is a rich, creamy, and cheesy appetizer that combines all the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger in dip form. Perfect for game day or parties, it’s loaded with ground beef, crispy bacon, melted cheese, and a hint of smoky spice.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb (225g) ground beef
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 8 oz (225g) Velveeta or processed cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion and garlic to the beef and cook for 2–3 minutes, until softened.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low and add Velveeta cubes, cheddar cheese, and milk. Stir constantly until the cheese melts and the mixture is smooth.
  6. Fold in the crumbled bacon, reserving a little for garnish.
  7. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl or slow cooker on warm setting.
  8. Garnish with green onions and remaining bacon bits. Serve warm with tortilla chips, pretzels, or baguette slices.

Notes

  • Keep warm in a slow cooker during parties to maintain creamy texture.
  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add a dash of hot sauce or jalapeños for extra heat.
  • Refrigerate leftovers and reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave.
