Description
This Bacon Cheeseburger Queso Dip is a rich, creamy, and cheesy appetizer that combines all the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger in dip form. Perfect for game day or parties, it’s loaded with ground beef, crispy bacon, melted cheese, and a hint of smoky spice.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb (225g) ground beef
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup onion, finely diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
- 8 oz (225g) Velveeta or processed cheese, cubed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add diced onion and garlic to the beef and cook for 2–3 minutes, until softened.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and add Velveeta cubes, cheddar cheese, and milk. Stir constantly until the cheese melts and the mixture is smooth.
- Fold in the crumbled bacon, reserving a little for garnish.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl or slow cooker on warm setting.
- Garnish with green onions and remaining bacon bits. Serve warm with tortilla chips, pretzels, or baguette slices.
Notes
- Keep warm in a slow cooker during parties to maintain creamy texture.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- Add a dash of hot sauce or jalapeños for extra heat.
- Refrigerate leftovers and reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave.
