Description
Rich and fudgy brownies with a hint of Baileys Irish Cream, creating a deliciously boozy and indulgent treat.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, stir in the sugar, cocoa powder, and Baileys Irish Cream until smooth and well combined.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- If using, fold in the chocolate chips for extra richness.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before removing and cutting into squares. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
Notes
- For a stronger Baileys flavor, you can increase the amount of Baileys Irish Cream to 1/3 cup.
- These brownies can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For a festive touch, top with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream when serving.
