Description

Rich and fudgy brownies with a hint of Baileys Irish Cream, creating a deliciously boozy and indulgent treat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, stir in the sugar, cocoa powder, and Baileys Irish Cream until smooth and well combined.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. If using, fold in the chocolate chips for extra richness.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  7. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before removing and cutting into squares. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • For a stronger Baileys flavor, you can increase the amount of Baileys Irish Cream to 1/3 cup.
  • These brownies can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For a festive touch, top with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream when serving.
