Description

Baked Pears with Berries, Honey, Walnuts & Blue Cheese is an elegant sweet-and-savory dish featuring tender roasted pears filled with juicy berries, crunchy walnuts, creamy blue cheese, and a drizzle of golden honey.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 1 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries)
  • 1/3 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Fresh thyme leaves (optional garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Arrange pear halves cut-side up in the dish.
  3. Brush pears lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon if using.
  5. Fill the center of each pear half with mixed berries and chopped walnuts.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until pears are tender but still hold their shape.
  7. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle crumbled blue cheese over warm pears.
  8. Drizzle generously with honey.
  9. Garnish with fresh thyme if desired and serve warm.
