Description

Bang Bang Chicken Fried Rice is a bold, flavorful fusion of classic fried rice with creamy, spicy Bang Bang sauce — loaded with tender chicken, veggies, and a kick of heat in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice (preferably chilled)
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, diced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (divided)
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey to make the Bang Bang sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5–6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. Add remaining oil to the pan. Scramble eggs until just set, then push to one side of the skillet.
  5. Add garlic and mixed vegetables to the other side and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked rice and toss everything together. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well to combine.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the pan and mix thoroughly.
  8. Drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the fried rice and toss until evenly coated and heated through.
  9. Top with chopped green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use day-old rice for best texture — it prevents clumping and makes for crispier fried rice.
  • Adjust spice level by adding more or less Sriracha to the sauce.
  • Substitute shrimp or tofu for chicken for variation.
  • Can be made with brown rice or cauliflower rice for a lighter version.
