Description

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 12 oz white chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Pink food coloring, as needed
- Butter or nonstick spray for pan
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a heart-shaped cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cake to cool completely.
- Heat heavy cream until just simmering, then pour over white chocolate.
- Let sit 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Add pink food coloring to achieve a blushing shade.
- Pour ganache over the cooled cake, letting it drip naturally.
- Chill briefly to set before serving.
