Ingredients
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup ranch dressing
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Season the chicken breasts on both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until lightly golden.
- Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking dish.
- Spread ranch dressing evenly over each chicken breast.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C) and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with green onions if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil the chicken for the last 2–3 minutes.
- You can substitute cheddar with a cheddar-jack blend for more flavor.
