- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced pickles
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Once slightly cooled, mix in shredded cheddar cheese and diced pickles.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape. Place 2–3 tablespoons of filling in the center.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll tightly and seal the top corner with beaten egg. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry egg rolls in batches for 3–4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with extra ketchup, mustard, or burger sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Make sure the filling is not too hot before assembling to prevent tearing the wrappers.
- You can air-fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Add cooked bacon bits for extra flavor.
- Freeze assembled egg rolls before frying for easier handling.
