Description
A hearty and comforting cheeseburger French fry casserole made with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and crispy French fries baked together for a delicious family-friendly meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bag (about 500 g) frozen French fries
- 1/2 cup pickles, chopped (optional)
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and milk. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly into a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the beef mixture.
- Arrange frozen French fries in an even layer on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until fries are golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle chopped pickles on top if desired.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can add cooked bacon pieces for extra flavor.
- Use seasoned fries or waffle fries for a different texture.
- Top with lettuce and diced tomatoes after baking for a true cheeseburger style.
- Serve with extra ketchup or burger sauce.
