Description

Cheesy Jalapeño Popper Bites are crispy, creamy, and spicy appetizer bites filled with jalapeños, cream cheese, cheddar, and seasonings.

Ingredients

  • 2 jalapeños, finely diced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet. Freeze for 20–30 minutes to firm up.
  3. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Roll each chilled bite in flour, dip in egg, then coat with panko.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the bites in small batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

  • You can bake them at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes instead of frying.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer jalapeños.
  • Serve with ranch or chipotle mayo for dipping.
