Description

A hearty, comforting dish featuring tender potatoes, smoked sausage, melted cheese, and creamy ranch seasoning baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs baby potatoes, quartered
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400Β°F (205Β°C). Lightly grease a large baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine potatoes, olive oil, ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Spread the seasoned potatoes into the baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven, add the sliced smoked sausage, and stir to combine. Return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Bake for another 5–7 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven and top with sour cream and green onions if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes after adding cheese.
  • You can substitute turkey sausage or chicken sausage.
  • Add bell peppers or onions for more flavor and color.
