Description
Chicken and Spinach Lasagna is a hearty and comforting baked pasta dish layered with tender chicken, creamy ricotta, sautéed spinach, rich sauce, and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add spinach and cook until wilted; remove from heat.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce.
- Layer noodles, ricotta mixture, chicken, spinach, sauce, and mozzarella.
- Repeat layers and finish with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Letting the lasagna rest helps it hold its shape.
- You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
