Description

Soft and chewy chocolate chip cheesecake cookies with a rich cream cheese flavor and pockets of melted chocolate in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (55 g) brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups (220 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups (255 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 11–13 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Chilling the dough for 30 minutes helps prevent spreading.
  • Do not overbake to maintain a soft, cheesecake-like texture.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for freshness.
