Description
A festive Christmas bruschetta wreath made with toasted baguette slices arranged in a wreath shape and topped with a colorful mix of tomatoes, basil, garlic, balsamic glaze, and optional mozzarella for a holiday appetizer centerpiece.
Ingredients
- 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
- 3 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
- 4 ripe tomatoes, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella pearls (optional)
- Balsamic glaze, for drizzling
- Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet.
- Brush each slice lightly with olive oil.
- Toast for 8–10 minutes or until golden and crisp. Let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine diced tomatoes, garlic, red onion, basil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Toss gently to mix.
- Arrange toasted baguette slices in a circular wreath pattern on a serving board or platter.
- Spoon the tomato mixture evenly over each slice.
- Add mozzarella pearls if using.
- Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze.
- Garnish the wreath with fresh rosemary sprigs to create a festive look.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, rub toasted baguette slices with a cut garlic clove.
- Cherry tomatoes can be used instead of large tomatoes.
- Assemble just before serving to prevent sogginess.
