Description
A rich and moist chocolate cake made with sweetened condensed milk, giving it a dense texture and deep chocolate flavor. Perfect for an easy dessert with minimal ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 can (397 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (50 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease or line an 8-inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and eggs until smooth.
- Add the milk, oil, and vanilla extract and mix well.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a smooth batter forms.
- Stir in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Do not add extra sugar because condensed milk is already sweet.
- You can add chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra texture.
- Serve with chocolate ganache, powdered sugar, or whipped cream.
- Store the cake in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
