Description
A simple, elegant tart made with creamy brie, sweet–tart cranberry sauce, and flaky pastry—perfect for holidays or entertaining.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 6 oz brie cheese, sliced or cubed
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or canned)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp honey (optional for drizzling)
- Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay out the puff pastry sheet and lightly score a 1-inch border around the edges without cutting through.
- Use a fork to prick the center of the pastry to prevent excessive puffing.
- Spread the cranberry sauce evenly within the scored border.
- Arrange the brie pieces over the cranberry sauce.
- Brush the pastry edges with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes or until the pastry is golden and the brie is melted.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey if desired. Garnish with fresh herbs.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use whole berry cranberry sauce for better texture.
- Add toasted pecans or walnuts for extra crunch.
- This tart can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Goat cheese can be substituted for brie for a tangier flavor.
