Description

Toasted bagels loaded with a creamy, cheesy bacon filling — a savory and indulgent breakfast or brunch treat that combines crispy bacon, melted cheddar, and smooth cream cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 bagels, sliced in half
  • 6 oz (170g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions or chives
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter (for toasting)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, mayonnaise, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.
  3. Toast bagel halves lightly in a toaster or on a skillet with butter until golden.
  4. Spread the bacon-cheddar mixture generously on each bagel half.
  5. Place the bagels on a baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven, cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add a pinch of chili flakes or hot sauce to the mixture.
  • Use turkey bacon for a lighter version.
