Description

A rich and creamy pasta dish made with tender chicken, garlic, and Parmesan cheese for a comforting weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups (480ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (240ml) chicken broth
  • 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 12 oz (340g) pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until cheese melts and sauce thickens.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and stir in cooked pasta until evenly coated with sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best taste and texture.
  • You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter version of the sauce.
