Description
A rich and creamy pasta dish made with tender chicken, garlic, and Parmesan cheese for a comforting weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups (480ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (240ml) chicken broth
- 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 12 oz (340g) pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 tbsp butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until cheese melts and sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet and stir in cooked pasta until evenly coated with sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best taste and texture.
- You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter version of the sauce.
