Crispy Chicken Wonton Tacos featuring crunchy fried wonton shells filled with seasoned chicken, fresh slaw, and a drizzle of sweet chili or Asian-style sauce—perfect as an appetizer or party snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 12 wonton wrappers
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 1 cup shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- 2 tablespoons green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce or Asian dressing
- Optional: sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add shredded chicken and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until heated through. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully shape wonton wrappers over the edge of the pan or use taco molds and fry until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- In a bowl, toss cabbage, carrots, and green onions.
- Fill crispy wonton shells with seasoned chicken.
- Top with slaw mixture and drizzle with sweet chili sauce.
- Garnish with sesame seeds if desired and serve immediately.

- Use rotisserie chicken for quick prep.
- Wonton shells are best served immediately while crispy.
