Description

Crispy Garlic Chicken with Asparagus is a flavorful one-pan meal featuring golden, pan-seared chicken breasts infused with garlic and served alongside tender-crisp asparagus. It’s a quick, wholesome dinner perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika. Lightly dredge in flour, shaking off excess.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter.
  5. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add asparagus and sauté for 4–6 minutes until tender-crisp.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle red pepper flakes if using.
  8. Spoon garlic butter sauce over chicken and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Pound chicken evenly for uniform cooking.
  • Do not overcook asparagus to maintain crisp texture.
  • For a low-carb version, skip the flour coating.
  • Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or a light salad.
