Description

Crispy oven baked potato slices that are golden on the outside and tender on the inside. These easy seasoned potato rounds make a perfect side dish or snack with minimal ingredients and no deep frying.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and slice the potatoes into even 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  3. Place the potato slices in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Add garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Toss well to coat evenly.
  5. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip each slice.
  7. Bake for another 15–20 minutes until the slices are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the potatoes during the last 5 minutes of baking if using.
  9. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.

  • Cut the potato slices evenly so they cook at the same rate.
  • Soaking the slices in cold water for 20 minutes before baking can help make them extra crispy.
  • Use sweet potatoes for a slightly sweeter variation.
