Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and slice the potatoes into even 1/4-inch thick rounds.
- Place the potato slices in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
- Add garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Toss well to coat evenly.
- Arrange the potato slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then flip each slice.
- Bake for another 15–20 minutes until the slices are golden brown and crispy.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the potatoes during the last 5 minutes of baking if using.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
- Cut the potato slices evenly so they cook at the same rate.
- Soaking the slices in cold water for 20 minutes before baking can help make them extra crispy.
- Use sweet potatoes for a slightly sweeter variation.
- Serve with ketchup, garlic aioli, or your favorite dipping sauce.
