Description
Easy Apple Brownies are a cozy, fall-inspired dessert that combines the chewy texture of a brownie with the warm, spiced sweetness of baked apples. Loaded with cinnamon, brown sugar, and chunks of apple, these bars are perfect for autumn baking and pair beautifully with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg

- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- Powdered sugar or caramel sauce for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

- Add egg and vanilla extract, whisking until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually stir dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined — do not overmix.
- Fold in diced apples and nuts (if using).
- Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before slicing into squares. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith for the best flavor and texture.
- These apple brownies taste even better the next day as the flavors deepen.
