Description

An easy, classic cheese ball recipe made with creamy cheeses, herbs, and seasonings, coated in crunchy nuts—perfect for parties, holidays, or quick appetizers.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (for coating)
  • Crackers or veggies for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands or plastic wrap.
  4. Place chopped nuts on a plate and roll the cheese ball in the nuts until fully coated.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up before serving.
  6. Serve with crackers, pretzels, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For a festive look, coat with dried cranberries and parsley instead of nuts.
  • Add cooked bacon bits for a smoky variation.
  • Cheese ball can be made 2–3 days ahead and kept refrigerated.
