Description

Easy Muddy Buddy Rice Krispies are a sweet, no-bake snack that combines the crispy crunch of Rice Krispies with the irresistible chocolate-peanut butter goodness of classic Muddy Buddies. Coated in powdered sugar for that perfect finish, these bite-sized treats are ideal for parties, holidays, or quick indulgence.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • Optional: 1/2 cup mini M&Ms or Reese’s Pieces for extra crunch and color


Instructions

  1. Place Rice Krispies cereal in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth (about 1–2 minutes total).
  3. Stir in vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Rice Krispies and gently stir until all cereal is evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the coated cereal into a large zip-top bag or container. Add powdered sugar, seal, and shake until the pieces are well coated and no longer sticky.
  6. Spread the mixture out on parchment paper to cool and set for about 15 minutes.
  7. Optional: Stir in mini M&Ms or Reese’s Pieces once cooled for extra color and flavor.
  8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
