Description

Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches are an indulgent dessert made with creamy cheesecake filling and sweet strawberries sandwiched between bread, then fried until golden and crispy.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices white sandwich bread
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or crushed graham crackers
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Fold in the chopped strawberries gently.
  3. Trim the crusts off the bread slices.
  4. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly on four slices of bread and top with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
  5. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  6. Place the breadcrumbs or crushed graham crackers in another shallow bowl.
  7. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides, then press into the breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
  8. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  9. Fry the sandwiches for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  10. Remove and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use firm bread to prevent the filling from leaking while frying.
  • Fresh strawberries work best, but well-drained frozen strawberries can be used.
  • Serve with chocolate sauce or strawberry syrup for extra indulgence.
