Description
Soft and fluffy gluten-free cinnamon rolls swirled with sweet cinnamon sugar and topped with a smooth vanilla glaze, perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour (with xanthan gum)
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix gluten-free flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract; mix until a soft dough forms.
- Cover and let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll the dough between two sheets of parchment paper into a rectangle.
- Spread softened butter over the dough.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the buttered dough.
- Carefully roll the dough into a log and slice into 8 rolls.
- Place rolls into a greased baking dish and cover loosely.
- Let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until lightly golden.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
Notes
- Do not add extra flour; gluten-free dough is softer than regular dough.
- Use parchment paper to make rolling easier.
- Best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated gently.
