Description
Soft, rich, and gooey chocolate chip cookie bars baked in one pan—perfect for quick gatherings or a comforting sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 22–28 minutes, or until edges are golden and the center is slightly soft for a gooey texture.
- Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
Notes
- For extra gooey bars, slightly underbake them.
- Add chopped walnuts or pecans for added texture.
- White or milk chocolate chips can be substituted.
