Description
A moist, tender banana bread with a rich cinnamon-sugar swirl throughout, adding extra warmth and sweetness to every slice.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar (for swirl)
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (for swirl)
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for swirl)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- Add baking soda and salt, then fold in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and 2 tbsp melted butter to form the swirl mixture.
- Pour half the banana batter into the loaf pan. Spoon half the cinnamon swirl mixture over it and gently drag a knife through to create swirls.
- Repeat with the remaining batter and swirl mixture.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to fully cool.
Notes
- Overripe bananas provide the best flavor and sweetness.
- Add chopped walnuts or pecans for extra texture.
- For a stronger cinnamon flavor, increase cinnamon by 1/2 tbsp.
