Description

A moist, tender banana bread with a rich cinnamon-sugar swirl throughout, adding extra warmth and sweetness to every slice.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (for swirl)
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (for swirl)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for swirl)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until smooth.
  3. Stir in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  4. Add baking soda and salt, then fold in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and 2 tbsp melted butter to form the swirl mixture.
  6. Pour half the banana batter into the loaf pan. Spoon half the cinnamon swirl mixture over it and gently drag a knife through to create swirls.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter and swirl mixture.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to fully cool.

Notes

  • Overripe bananas provide the best flavor and sweetness.
  • Add chopped walnuts or pecans for extra texture.
  • For a stronger cinnamon flavor, increase cinnamon by 1/2 tbsp.
