Ingredients
- 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F / 45°C)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 20 Oreo cookies, finely crushed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms, then knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough into a 16×12-inch rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread softened butter over the dough. Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and crushed Oreo cookies evenly over the surface.
- Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log. Slice into 12 equal rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 22–25 minutes until golden brown.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and spreadable.
- Spread frosting over warm rolls and sprinkle extra crushed Oreo cookies on top if desired.
Notes
- Do not overheat the milk or it may kill the yeast.
- You can refrigerate the rolls overnight after shaping for next-day baking.
- Add extra crushed Oreos to the frosting for more cookies-and-cream flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
