Description
A rich and indulgent dessert combining a fudgy brownie base, creamy cheesecake layer, and warm hot fudge topping, finished like a classic ice cream sundae in cheesecake form.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup hot fudge sauce
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Maraschino cherries, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and vanilla.
- Spread brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes.
- While brownie bakes, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, then mix in sour cream.
- Remove brownie from oven, pour cheesecake mixture over partially baked brownie, and smooth the top.
- Bake for an additional 35–40 minutes until center is set.
- Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Before serving, warm hot fudge sauce and pour over cheesecake. Top with whipped cream and cherries.
Notes
- For cleaner slices, chill overnight before cutting.
- You can add chopped nuts to the brownie layer for extra texture.
- Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 4 days.
