Ingredients

- For the Iced Coffee:
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/2 cup milk or cream
- 1–2 tbsp sugar or sweetener
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Whipped cream (optional)
- For the Chocolate Cake:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup hot water
Instructions
- Make the Iced Coffee: Brew coffee and allow it to cool completely. Fill a glass with ice, pour in cold coffee, add milk or cream, sweeten to taste, and top with whipped cream if desired.
- Prepare the Cake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch cake pan.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add milk, oil, egg, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
- Slowly stir in hot water to thin the batter.
- Pour into the pan and bake 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before slicing and serving with iced coffee.
Notes
- Use cold brew for a smoother, less bitter coffee flavor.
- Add chocolate syrup to make a mocha iced coffee.
- Serve cake with a dusting of powdered sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
