Description

A refreshing iced coffee served alongside a rich, moist chocolate cake—perfect for an indulgent breakfast, snack, or dessert pairing.

Ingredients

    • For the Iced Coffee:
    • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
    • 1/2 cup milk or cream
    • 12 tbsp sugar or sweetener
    • 1 cup ice cubes
    • Whipped cream (optional)

  • For the Chocolate Cake:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup hot water

Instructions

  1. Make the Iced Coffee: Brew coffee and allow it to cool. Fill a glass with ice, pour in the coffee, milk or cream, and sweetener. Stir and top with whipped cream if desired.
  2. Prepare the Chocolate Cake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch cake pan.
  3. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add milk, oil, egg, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  5. Stir in hot water—it will thin the batter.
  6. Pour batter into the cake pan and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool before slicing and serving with iced coffee.

Notes

  • Use cold brew for a smoother iced coffee flavor.
  • Add chocolate syrup to the iced coffee for a mocha twist.
  • The cake pairs well with vanilla ice cream.
