Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp brown sugar or honey
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup sliced cucumbers
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Stir in garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the beef.
- Assemble bowls by adding rice, then topping with the Korean beef.
- Add carrots, cucumbers, green onions, and sesame seeds.
- Serve warm.
