Description

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Place unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp edges as desired.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, and salt.
  4. Add eggs and whisk until smooth.
  5. Stir in milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour custard mixture into prepared pie crust.
  7. Bake for 45–55 minutes until center is set but slightly jiggly.
  8. Cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing.
