Description

Loaded Bacon Alfredo Pasta is a rich, creamy dish featuring crispy bacon, tender pasta, and a silky Alfredo sauce topped with cheese and fresh herbs—comfort food at its best.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or rotini)
  • 8 oz bacon, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (optional for extra creaminess)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley or chives

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, leaving a little bacon grease in the pan.
  3. Add butter to the skillet and melt, then sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add Parmesan (and mozzarella if using), stirring until the sauce becomes thick and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper.
  7. Return cooked pasta and most of the bacon to the skillet; toss to coat evenly.
  8. Top with remaining bacon and garnish with parsley or chives before serving.

Notes

  • Add grilled chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
  • Use half-and-half instead of cream for a lighter version.
  • Stir in spinach or peas for added color and nutrients.
