Description

Philly Cheese Steak Casserole is a keto-friendly and budget-conscious comfort dish made with seasoned ground beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and plenty of melted cheese baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 900 g ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 slices provolone cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in cream cheese and heavy cream until creamy and combined.
  6. Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish.
  7. Top evenly with shredded mozzarella and provolone slices.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
