Description

Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 8 slices provolone cheese (or Cheez Whiz)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced onions (and bell peppers if using) and sauté until soft and lightly caramelized. Remove and set aside.
- Add sliced steak to the same skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and cook quickly until browned.
- Return onions to the skillet and mix with the steak.
- Divide the meat mixture into portions and place cheese slices over each portion.
- Cover briefly until cheese melts.
- Scoop the cheesy steak mixture into hoagie rolls and serve hot.
