Description

Pull-Apart Garlic Cheese Bread is a soft, buttery loaf stuffed with melted cheese, fresh herbs, and garlic butter — baked until golden and perfect for sharing at any meal or gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 round loaf of crusty bread (sourdough or Italian)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes for spice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Using a serrated knife, cut the bread diagonally into 1-inch slices, making sure not to cut all the way through. Repeat in the opposite direction to create a crosshatch pattern.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Gently separate the bread sections and spoon or brush the garlic butter mixture into the cracks, ensuring it coats as much of the bread as possible.
  5. Stuff shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese between the bread cuts.
  6. Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes covered, then uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly with golden edges.
  8. Sprinkle with extra parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm and pull apart to enjoy.

Notes

  • Best served immediately while warm and gooey.
  • Use different cheese combinations like cheddar, provolone, or Monterey Jack for variety.
  • Add cooked bacon bits or jalapeños for an extra flavor boost.
  • Can be reheated in the oven at 350°F for 5–7 minutes.
