Description
Pull-Apart Garlic Cheese Bread is a soft, buttery loaf stuffed with melted cheese, fresh herbs, and garlic butter — baked until golden and perfect for sharing at any meal or gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 round loaf of crusty bread (sourdough or Italian)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes for spice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
- Using a serrated knife, cut the bread diagonally into 1-inch slices, making sure not to cut all the way through. Repeat in the opposite direction to create a crosshatch pattern.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.
- Gently separate the bread sections and spoon or brush the garlic butter mixture into the cracks, ensuring it coats as much of the bread as possible.
- Stuff shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese between the bread cuts.
- Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes covered, then uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly with golden edges.
- Sprinkle with extra parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm and pull apart to enjoy.
Notes
- Best served immediately while warm and gooey.
- Use different cheese combinations like cheddar, provolone, or Monterey Jack for variety.
- Add cooked bacon bits or jalapeños for an extra flavor boost.
- Can be reheated in the oven at 350°F for 5–7 minutes.
