Description

Quick Christmas Cranberry Meatballs are sweet, tangy, festive party appetizers made with frozen meatballs simmered in a cranberry–BBQ glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen meatballs
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (jellied or whole)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan or slow cooker, whisk together cranberry sauce, BBQ sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  2. Add frozen meatballs and stir to coat evenly in the sauce.
  3. Cook on the stovetop over medium heat for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and the sauce thickens. (Or cook in a slow cooker on HIGH for 2 hours.)
  4. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
  5. Serve warm as an appetizer or holiday party snack.

Notes

  • Use turkey or chicken meatballs for a lighter option.
  • Add a splash of orange juice or zest for extra brightness.
  • These can be kept warm in a slow cooker for parties.
