Description

Taco Doritos Casserole Bake is a bold and comforting dish made with seasoned ground beef, crunchy Doritos, melted cheese, and classic taco flavors, baked together for an easy family-friendly meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Optional toppings: chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, green onions


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in Rotel tomatoes and black beans; remove from heat.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the crushed Doritos.
  6. Spoon half of the beef mixture over the chips, then add half of the cheese.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining Doritos, beef mixture, and cheese.
  8. Dot the top with sour cream.
  9. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let cool slightly and add optional toppings before serving.

Notes

  • Crush Doritos lightly to keep some crunch.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken if desired.
  • Add jalapeños for extra heat.
