Description
Taco Doritos Casserole Bake is a bold and comforting dish made with seasoned ground beef, crunchy Doritos, melted cheese, and classic taco flavors, baked together for an easy family-friendly meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup water
- 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 cups crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Optional toppings: chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, green onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned; drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in Rotel tomatoes and black beans; remove from heat.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the crushed Doritos.
- Spoon half of the beef mixture over the chips, then add half of the cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining Doritos, beef mixture, and cheese.
- Dot the top with sour cream.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly and add optional toppings before serving.
Notes
- Crush Doritos lightly to keep some crunch.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken if desired.
- Add jalapeños for extra heat.
